Visually interactive composites for high end surfacing, artistic trim, and architectural use.

Our original Dichrolam product lines are custom made fabrications that bring out the best optical qualities possible from Dichroic optical cores. We've spent years developing the industry leading processes for laminating Flat Dichroics and for creating unique Impressed Textures and Burl Textures with dichroic layers. Whether laminated in architectural safety glass or burl patterned within machineable resins, these panels offer chromatic elegance that can rarely be captured.

Our newer Chatoyant Carbon Fiber line (Patent Pending), introduced in 2018, consists of solid surface composites where real carbon fiber is molded into three dimensional natural wood patterns. The result is a deep holographic "figure" with a flat surface, and allows ultra high end surfacing for products.

What makes Dichroic Laminates so special?

The Dichroic Optical Core within each lamination is unique in its ability to filter and reflect specific wavelengths of light. This results in a product that will produce dramatic color shifts as the viewing angle changes -- literally changing color before your very eyes. The same optical effects you see in natural opals, butterfly wings, and soap bubbles. There is no more powerful architectural tool available to high end designers.

The science and technology behind these laminations is equally impressive. The Burl textures line, for example, is comprised of over nine separate polymer layers laminated in three separate proprietary lamination steps -- a process developed over the past seventeen years by its inventor, John Blazy. John was formerly an award winning furniture designer and currently holds two patents in polymer science for high solids coating chemistry.

We have three primary lines of Dichrolam products:

Flat Dichroic Laminations

Mirror-like Red and Green Dichroic optics can be applied to Safety Glass or Acrylic sheets to create dazzling visual effects.

Impressed Textures

Custom made molds combined with dichroic optics. There's nothing like it in the industry.

Burl Textures

Our propriety process of fusing dichroic inner-layers to create a unique, reflective surface which resembles the texture of a tree burl.

All of our products are custom made and can be applied to a number of substrates, the most popular being Safety Glass, Acrylic, and a number of Plastics.
